Charlize Theron had a serious case of foot-in-mouth the last time she visited Jimmy Kimmel's late night talk show. Last time the actress was on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" President Obama was also a guest, and Theron gave the President a very strange suggestion; she invited him to a strip club!

The 39-year-old admitted on Monday night's show that she cringes every time she thinks of the interaction. The South African beauty told Kimmel that she has a "terrible thing she does when she gets nervous." The actress said she gets so nervous sometimes that she says things that are very inappropriate, and she can't stop herself. She calls it "verbal diarrhea."

Obama and Theron were having a conversation about how the President went on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to try and reach a different demographic. The "Mad Max" actress then blurted out, "well if you are looking for a different demographic I can take you to a strip club." Needless to say, she was mortified by the entire interaction. The President graciously laughed at the joke but sadly declined her offer. The actress said that she could not sleep for weeks after the debacle because she was so horrified by her comments every time she shut her eyes!

Theron was on Kimmel to promote her new film, "Dark Places." The film was adapted from a novel of the same name and written by "Gone Girl" author Gillian Flynn. The movie focuses on Libby Day and her life decades after her mother and two sisters were killed by her older brother. The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Chloe Grace Moretz and Christina Hendricks. "Dark Places" hits theatres on Aug. 7.
