Bindi Irwin turns 17 on Friday, and she will be spending it with her significant other! "There is someone special in my life right now, and I'm really happy with that," Irwin told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday. "Life is wonderful at the moment."

While Steve Irwin's daughter did not reveal her boyfriend's name, she did share the qualities she likes in a boy.

"He would have to be very kind and loyal," she told Entertainment Tonight. "You've got to love the outdoors, you've got to be able to go camping and love wildlife and have that same passion for making the world a better place."

Although Irwin told People magazine in February that dating was a "long way off," the Australian seems happy in her current relationship. As for her late father, Bindi said his relationship test would have included some serious survival skills.

"Dad always said you can't date till you're 40, and he has to be able to swim across our largest crocodile pond before he can go out with you," she explained.

Irwin was only eight-years-old when her father, "The Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin, was tragically killed by a stingray.

"You'll always carry a part of that person in your life," she told People. "I realize that Dad would have wanted me to be happy, to carry love in my heart, and to love every single day."
