Country stars Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's divorce was finalized just hours after the couple announced their split, and suddenly fans understood why Lambert broke down during her performance over the weekend, as previously reported by HNGN. But now rumors are swirling that Lambert cheated on Shelton with fellow country singer Chris Young, which led to their divorce. Young took to Twitter to clear his name.

"I don't normally address gossip but in this case I will," the "I'm Comin' Over" singer wrote in the text photo that he tweeted out on Tuesday afternoon. "My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda's divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys - CY."

Sources close to Young confirm that the 30-year-old country crooner is indeed telling the truth about not having an affair with Lambert, according to Us Weekly.

"Chris is promoting new music now so his name is out there," an insider told Us Weekly. "But he's not that dumb to go messing with Blake's woman. [Blake] truly adored Miranda and was the last one to always defend her."

It was reported that Shelton was the one to file for the divorce on the suspicion that his wife had two affairs, one with Young and another with an unknown man who is not a country star, TMZ reported. The former country power couple have yet to speak out against the rumors.
