The men of ABC's matchmaking reality series "The Bachelorette" came together one last time for the "Men Tell All" special. Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe opened up about receiving death threats and a former suitor delivered an unlikely apology.

Former contestant and one-time stand-out choice, Ian Thompson got down on his knees as he delivered an apology in front of all the other contestants. He apologized for blasting Bristowe on social media after she rejected him and he was booted off of the show. At the time, the Princeton alum complained that he was being "punished for being an intellectual" on the show and said Bristowe signed up for "The Bachelorette" because she wanted to "make out with dudes on TV," according to Us Weekly.

Then Bristowe got emotional when she opened up about receiving nasty hate mail and death threats online after having sex with contestant Nick Viall. Show host Chris Harrison read some of the mean tweets that internet trolls sent to Bristowe to show viewers what she's been dealing with. One woman said Bristowe is a "selfish whore" who should "crawl in a hole and die," People reported.

"I'm so fine with people disagreeing with me or having their opinions," Bristowe said. "That's okay. But spreading the hate people have been is not okay."

"The hardest part is it affects my family. I can handle it. It doesn't feel good, but I can handle it. But it's my family, they call me to see if I'm okay. It's hard. It's really hard. It's hurtful," she told Harrison. "I like to think that it doesn't matter what people think about me but when it's thousands and thousands [of comments] just pouring in of people hating. I get death threats. That hurts."
