Former "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada delivered some devastating news about her third pregnancy, E! News reported. On her new series "Livin' Lozada" on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), the reality star opened up about her recent miscarriage.

"I feel like when something tragic like this happens, I've learned that there's always something better to come," Lozada said on Saturday's episode. "And I guess that's what I hold onto, that, OK, it just wasn't meant to be."

The 39-year-old was expecting her second child with fiancé, 33-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player Carl Crawford. The couple already share a son together, 1-year-old Leo. Lozada has a daughter, 22-year-old Shaniece, from a previous relationship.

In the clip from the episode, Lozada called her daughter during her photo shoot to tell her the heartbreaking news. She explained that, because her hormone levels were low, she would be miscarrying her third pregnancy. Shaniece ran to her mother's side the next day to check up on her.

"So I woke up this morning - early, early this morning, it was literally still dark outside - and I started feeling cramping," Lozada told Shaniece. "I knew it was like, that the process was starting."

She explained that she missed her daughter's scheduled photo shoot because she felt that she needed to go home and "turn off" so that she could come to terms with her miscarriage in peace.

"I feel better," she told Shaniece. "I'm like, 'OK, it's happening' and I've accepted it. I feel like I can deal."
