Brad Arnold, lead singer of the alternative rock group Three Doors Down, stopped the band in the middle of a recent concert to kick out a fan for allegedly hitting a female concertgoer, E! News reported.

The incident occurred during the band's show on July 14 at the First Bank Center in Broomfield, Colo., and was caught on video by another concertgoer, Melissa Nichols, according to Time. Nichols posted a clip on her Instagram page and caught the attention of Three Doors Down guitarist Chris Henderson. Henderson reached out to Nichols and she sent him the full video, which he then uploaded to YouTube.

Footage showed Arnold singing the first verse of the band's hit "Citizen/Soldier." He didn't get very far into the song before he abruptly stopped his bandmates after he witnessed a fan hit a woman.

"Hang on, hang on, hey! Whoa, whoa, whoa!," he said, and pointed somewhere toward the center of the crowd. "Hey homie, you don't hit a woman. You just pushed a woman out of the way to get in a fight, you d--k. Get him the hell out of here, somebody grab him and beat his ass. F--k you man, you don't hit a woman, dude."

Arnold's angry rant was met with cheers and applause from fans. Security booted the troublemaker and the band resumed its set. Henderson posted the video on Twitter a few days later.

"Brad telling someone to not hit a woman!" he tweeted. "Just another reason I'm proud to be in this band!!"
