Pop star Demi Lovato opened up about her adorable relationship with actor Wilmer Valderrama on New Zealand's ZM radio show, gushing about her boyfriend and dropping some marriage hints with what sounds like a bad case of wedding fever, Entertainment Tonight reported. 

"I am very, very in love with him," Lovato said of Valderrama, "That 70s Show" star and boyfriend of five years. "I think we'll probably wait a little bit longer, but if he asked tomorrow, I'd say yes."

The couple faced its fair share of criticism when they first got together, the former Disney star explained, and it was because of the age gap between her and Valderrama.

"I used to definitely [catch flak when] we were first starting to date, about like five years ago because I was 18 and he was 30," she told ZM, "People were definitely judgmental. Even my parents were kind of like 'I don't know why someone his age is wanting to date someone so young,' and after a while everyone around us started to see that what we have is real and incredible and very special and we've been together ever since."

"Now obviously my family loves him," she explained while her dog Buddy barked in the background. "People kind of stopped doing that cause they can see when we're together or even from our Instagrams that we're very sweet to one another."

But for now, Lovato is preparing to be a bridesmaid in her bff Iggy Azalea's upcoming wedding. When one of the show's hosts asked her if fellow pop star Azalea is planning on dressing Lovato in a peach-colored, fluffy one-shouldered number, she answered like a true best friend.

"I hope not," she said, laughing, "but it's her day so I'll do whatever she wants."
