A man charged with shooting at Lil Wayne's tour bus called the cellphones of rappers Birdman and Young Thug before and after shots were fired, according to the indictment that was obtained by Rolling Stone.

This past April, multiple gunshots were fired at Lil Wayne's tour bus after he performed at an Atlanta nightclub. Jimmy Winfrey, who is known by the names Pee Wee and Roscoe and had worked as Young Thug's tour manager, raced up alongside Lil Wayne's tour buses, opened fire and then attempted to hide the Camaro he was driving.

The indictment spans 30 counts, including aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, and possession of a firearm and violation of both the RICO Act and Street Gang Terrorism Prevention Act. Mentioned in the indictment were two performers: Jeffery Lamar Williams, 22, better known as Young Thug, and Bryan Williams, a.k.a. Birdman. Lil Wayne and Birdman, who co-founded Cash Money Records together, were in a legal dispute over the release of a Lil Wayne record; Young Thug took Birdman's side, WSB Atlanta reported.

Neither Young Thug nor Birdman is charged in the indictment, which instead highlights a connection between Winfrey and the two artists, reported Mike Petchenik of WSBTV in Atlanta. All men mentioned in the indictment - including Lil Wayne - are allegedly members of the notorious Bloods gang. Winfrey is due in court Friday morning for a bond hearing.
