The home of Hip Hop and R&B star Chris Brown was hit by robbers early Wednesday morning during a home invasion in which the perpetrators held his aunt at gunpoint before locking her in a closet and ransacking the house, TMZ reports.

The incident took place around 2:00 a.m. P.T. at the San Fernando Valley home Brown had recently purchased. Three armed men broke into the house where they found Brown's aunt and ordered her at gun point into a closet. Brown's aunt then called 911 but police arrived after the robbers had fled.

Brown himself was not home at the time of the incident. TMZ has photographs of the music star at a club in Hollywood during the time of the break in. He reportedly arrived there around 12:30 a.m. before leaving shortly after 2:10 a.m.
