Camille Cosby, the wife of disgraced comedian Bill Cosby, is standing by her husband after drug and rape allegations worsened last week, the New York Post reports.

In the report, an unnamed source that's close to the Cosby family said that Camille knows about her husband's infidelity but she refuses to believe that he drugged women or that any sex he had outside of his marriage was not consensual.

"Camille still doesn't believe that Bill provided drugs and had sex with women without their consent," the anonymous source told the Post. "She's well aware of his cheating, but she doesn't believe that her husband is a rapist."

"[Camille] is a proud, dignified but stubborn woman," another source said. "You can say that she's standing by her husband, but really, the more people stand against him, the more she perceives it as an affront to her and all that she's done to make him a star."

The 71-year-old has been married to Bill, 78, for more than 50 years. She's not only his wife but his business manager. A source said that she called an emergency meeting last week with advisers, lawyers and public relations specialists.

"I created him, I knew what I was getting and we'll fix this," she said during the meeting, according to the Post's source. "They are making him out to be such a bad guy, a monster."

The meeting followed an Associated Press report last week that revealed unsealed court documents from Cosby's 2005 sexual assault case in Philadelphia. In a deposition, he admitted to obtaining several prescriptions of Quaaludes to give to women before attempting to have sex with them, as previously reported by HNGN

In the fallout from the AP report, Hollywood stars have either announced their support for Bill or spoken out against him, and officials removed his statue from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park last week.
