The king of late night TV barely made it two months into his retirement. David Letterman graced the stage once again, unretiring to deliver one of his renowned "Top 10" lists and make fun of 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump, reported Rolling Stone.

Letterman had a 30-year reign in late night television with CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman," and went out with a bang on the show's last episode this past May. But with all of the controversy surrounding the recent events that have taken place ever since Trump announced he was running for president, the comedian just couldn't resist returning to the stage once more.

Looking sharp in a dark suit and purple tie, he crashed the stage at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas, where friends and actors/comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short were in the middle of performing their "A Very Stupid Conversation" routine. His surprise guest appearance garnered support from the crowd.

"I retired and... I had no regrets. None. I was happy. I'll make actual friends. I was complacent, I was satisfied, I was content," Letterman told the crowd. "And then a couple of days ago, Donald Trump said he was running for president."

He pulled a white envelope out of the pocket of his blazer and graced the audience with one of his famous "Top 10" lists, a staple of his former show. Letterman ripped into his "Interesting Facts About Donald Trump" list, written with help from Martin, according to the New York Times.

"No. 10: That thing on his head was the gopher in 'Caddyshack,'" Letterman started, ragging on the businessman politician's infamous, messily coiffed hair. "No. 5: Donald Trump weighs 240 pounds—250 with cologne."
