Actor and Comedian Chris Tucker headlines his first full length stand-up comedy special, "Chris Tucker Live," which premiers exclusively on Netflix today, Firday, July 10. The special was filmed at the Historic Fox Theatre in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, according to Indie Wire.

"Chris Tucker is a true global movie star and a one-of-a-kind talent whose remarkable energy, delivery and original style make him one of the funniest comedians of our time," says Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer. "We cannot wait to share his distinct and hilarious voice with our members across the globe."

The selective actor has only made a few TV appearances recently and has not done any major new projects since the 2012 film, "Silver Linings Playbook." "Why this special now," asks the L.A. Times. "It just came together," Tucker replies. "I just said, 'I want to do this.' A lot of people don't know I'm a comedian. I wanted to show them."

The comedian rose to fame in 1995 as the loud-mouthed pothead Smokey in the classic stoner comedy "Friday," but it was buddy-cop film "Rush Hour" with Jackie Chan that made him one of Hollywood's highest-paid actors.

The stand-up special touches on everything form Bill Clinton to Barry Gibb, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He also talks about his family and growing up in Atlanta. You can now watch Tucker's special entirely on Netflix.
