IT'S OFFICIAL! Danity Kane is set to reunite at MTV's 2013 Video Music Awards, marking their first appearance together since their split in 2009.

According to PerezHilton.com, fans of "Making the Band" girl group will get to see ladies during the show:

"OH EM GEEEE! Forget Diddy, four of the girls of Danity Kane are officially moving on without him!

We can EXCLUSIVELY tell you Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres will be reuniting this weekend at the VMAs for their first official appearance together in, like, FOREVER!

Not only will they be back in action, but they will also be announcing deets about the new music they've been working on! In fact, a new single will be coming soooon.

We knew something was most certainly up when the four were caught lunching! But we can't help but wonder, just what will Diddy think about this?? That man will SURELY have something to say!"

The group was formed after rapper Diddy went on a nation wide hunt for five talented female artists. Danity Kane did have a few successful singles, such as "Damaged" and "Showstopper," but it wasn't enough to keep the girls happy.

Diddy quickly caught wind of the behind-the-scenes drama, and was fed up with the girls not being able to get along. He publicly fired Aubrey O'Day and D.Woods, and released all members from their contracts on the MTV television show.

After a four-year hiatus, the group announced their official reunion on Aug. 15, according to multiple reports. D.Woods, the fifth member of Danity Kane, will reportedly not be reuniting with the group. There has been no confirmation the girls plan on replacing Richards.

Diddy has not made a comment about the group's reunion.

However, Dawn Richard did tell TooFab.com that she believes Diddy's ego had something to do with the end of Danity Kane.

"I was very surprised," Dawn said. "...I feel like ego got involved and [Diddy] was like 'hell no, I run this," before firing Aubrey and D. Woods.
