More nominations for Teen Choice 2015 were announced Wednesday, with “Empire” leading the pack with seven nominations and Taylor Swift and “Pitch Perfect 2” following with six nods each. Fans can now vote for their favorites and the winners will be announced live on Fox Sunday, Aug. 16, at 8 p.m. EDT.
The Teen Choice Awards honor teen icons in music, movies, television, sports, fashion, comedy and the Internet. Among those scheduled to appear at this year's event are Vin Diesel, Scott Eastwood, Jack Black, Sarah Hyland, Victoria Justice, Bethany Mota, Bella Thorne, R5 and Fifth Harmony (who will present the Candie’s Choice Style Icon Award). U.K. pop group Little Mix will perform at the ceremony. The show’s host along with additional performers, presenters and nominees will be announced at a later date.
Three new categories were added to the competition for 2015: Choice Selfie Taker, Choice International Artist and Choice Dancer.
Wave One nominations for Teen Choice 2015 were announced in early June, according to Us Weekly, and the voting has now closed for those categories.
Now Wave Two voting has begun via TeenChoice.com, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Fans can vote once a day for each category per platform user ID. The ballot closes Friday, July 24.
