The identity of the adult film actress whose positive HIV test temporarily shut down porn production has been revealed.

Cameron Bay, 28, tested positive for the virus this week after "an earlier screening for sexually transmitted diseases came back inconclusive," the adult news site AVN Media Network reported.

"As difficult as this news is for me today, I am hopeful that no other performers have been affected," Bay said in a news release.

According to the New York Daily News, The Free Speech Coalition, an industry trade group, confirmed Bay's results.

"The Free Speech Coalition is the adult film industry trade group that runs mandatory STD testing for actors every 14 or 28 days. If they aren't tested, they can't perform," ABC News reports.

The news of Bay's positive test comes after a federal judge rejected the porn industry's claim that making someone wear a condom during filming is "unconstitutional," according to ABC News.

However, there are no reports Bay's infection was acquired during filming.

"There is no indication of on-set transmission," Diane Duke, CEO of the Free Speech Coalition, said in a statement.

"Because of the rigorous APHSS [Adult Production Health and Safety Services] protocols, the situation was accessed quickly and - most importantly - action was taken to ensure the protocols were followed," Duke said.

The coalition has made it their mission to insure the proper health precautions are taken to keep porn actors safe from deadly sexually transmitted diseases.  According to ABC News, "the Los Angeles County porn industry hasn't had a performer test positive for HIV since 2004, and that performer didn't contract the virus from the porn community."

However, adult film actors are reportedly still at a higher risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases than anyone else.
