Jeff Goldblum had an extra-special delivery over the holiday weekend. The "Jurassic Park" alum announced the birth of his firs son with wife Emilie Livingston Goldblum on his Facebook page, People reports. The actor is now a new dad at 62 years old.

"We're so excited to share the wonderful news of the birth of our son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, born on the 4th of July. Independence Day," the proud papa wrote in the caption that accompanied an adorable photo of the new family of three.

On an April appearance on the "Late Show With David Letterman," Goldblum announced that his baby was due on Independence Day, E! New reports. Baby Goldblum arrived just on time, a coincidence since Goldblum is currently working on the sequel to his 1996 hit film "Independence Day."

Livingston, 32, appeared on the Letterman show with her husband. After their pregnancy announcement, she proceeded to show off her gymnastic skills by contorting her body, holding her leg above her head even while pregnant.

Goldblum proposed to his wife in July 2014 after the couple dated for three years, the Los Angeles Times reports. Livingston revealed her pregnancy to her hubby on their wedding day last November.
