Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb was arrested for DUI - the second time the one-time Philadelphia Eagle, Washington Redskin and Minnesota Viking has been arrested for driving under the influence - just before midnight on June 28, according to a recent report from Deadspin.com.

McNabb rear-ended another car at a stoplight in Gilbert, Ariz., per a statement from the Gilbert Police Department, obtained by Deadspin, though the Gilbert PD did not state whether McNabb failed a field sobriety test.

Here's the entire text of the Gilbert PD statement...

"On 06/28/2015 at approximately 2335 hours, officers responded to a non-injury collision involving two vehicles which occurred just west of the intersection at E Chandler Heights Rd and S Higley Rd in Gilbert, AZ. Subsequent investigation revealed Donovan McNabb (11/25/76) was impaired by alcohol and collided in a rear-end fashion with another vehicle which was stopped at a red traffic signal. Donovan was arrested for DUI at 2358 hours and transported to the Gilbert/Chandler Unified Holding Facility for processing, after which, he was cited and released."

McNabb, of course, spent a day in jail in April 2014 after being arrested in Maricopa County, Ariz. in Dec. for a misdemeanor DUI charge.

"I have had other high profile athletes who have been incarcerated with no problems and this latest athlete follows that same pattern," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said in a statement at the time, via ProFootballTalk.com.

McNabb, 38, is currently an NFL analyst for FOX Sports.

He was selected by the Eagles in the first-round of the 1999 NFL Draft and spent 11 seasons as the starter in Philadelphia, reaching the postseason seven times and taking the franchise to the Super Bowl in 2004.

His tenure in Philadelphia was a rocky one - seemingly no matter how successful the team was under his guidance, the fans and media never really embraced him in the same manner as they have other highly prominent athletes.

McNabb was traded for a second-round pick to the Redskins, with whom he spent the 2010 NFL season. Things never quite worked between McNabb and then Washington head coach Mike Shanahan and he wound up with the Vikings for just six games in 2011.
