Bruce Springsteen joined songwriter and Beach Boys founding member Brian Wilson on stage at the latter's concert Wednesday night in Springsteen's home state of New Jersey.

Springsteen, who has been keeping a low public profile this year, according to Rolling Stone, joined Wilson for a pair of Beach Boys hits, "Barbara Ann" and "Surfin' USA," during Wilson's performance at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. Wilson is touring in support of "No Pier Pressure," his latest studio album released in April. He is also the subject of a new biopic, "Love And Mercy," which stars John Cusack as "Brian Future" and Paul Dano as "Brian Past."

"I was portrayed very well," Wilson said in a recent interview with the Denver Post. "Paul Dano even sang a lot like me. In fact, he sang my songs just about like I sang them."
