The man who committed suicide in the Florida home belonging to Olivia Newton-John and her husband has been identified. According to US Weekly, Christopher Pariseleti, 42, was hired as a landscaper and was doing work on the "Grease" star's house when he took his own life.

Jupiter police officials said the man's body was found outside near the pool from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Monday. An autopsy report confirmed the death was suicide.

"This case investigation has been classified as a suicide and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Pariseleti," a statement reads.

Newton-John and her husband, John Easterling, were not at home at the time of the accident but issued a statement saying that they were "in shock over the tragic event," US Weekly reports.

"He was a longtime and good contractor in the area," a source told the magazine. Just before he took his life the source said that "he dropped off his eight-year-old son - I think at school. He had a lot of internal issues."

According to the Palm Beach Post, construction was being done on the house because it was being sold reportedly to TV personality Rosie O'Donnell. Gossip Extra reports that O'Donnell sold her Miami mansion for $16.5 million in June and was supposed to sign her new contract next month.

There has been no word whether O'Donnell has backed out of the deal following the suicide but the website reports that her spokeswoman said "this is a terrible tragedy, and we're not commenting at this time."

The same source who talked to US Weekly reportedly said that a "for sale" sign is still sitting in the lawn.

Newton-John's hit songs include "You're The One That I Want" with John Travolta in the movie "Grease" and "Let's Get Physical" in 1981.
