Bobbi Kristina Brown has been in a coma ever since she was found unconscious in her bathtub in January. Now that her health doesn't seem to be getting much better and she has been moved to hospice care, family and friends are opening up about her rough past, especially with her boyfriend Nick Gordon.

It has been made public that Gordon was abusive towards Bobbi Kristina, 22, and now her best friend, Alex Reid, has confirmed that she was in fact in an abusive relationship. The two would talk almost every day and this is the first time since that Reid has spoken out about her best friend.

"She was sobbing. Nick had hit her and she was scared," Reid said in an exclusive interview with E! News. "She was very upset. She didn't know what to do. It was as if she didn't have anyone else to turn to. It was heartbreaking."

Since Brown and Gordon were living together at the time, she lived in a constant state of fear. Reid even revealed that she used to hide from him in the closet of her mother, the late Whitney Houston's, closet.

"I love her. I would have never betrayed her and spoken out before now," said a tearful Reid. "But as she lies there, I feel there is no one else to speak on her behalf. I feel like I have to voice for her now."

She went on to say that Bobbi Kristina, or "Krissi" as she called her, was abused by Gordon on several occasions. She was never there to physically witness any of it but said that "[Brown] would Facetime me every time she was distraught, when something has just happened or show me a bruise."

With Brown's case still being investigated, there are still so many questions people want answered to try and find out what happened in the hours before she was found. Reid, who knows Brown was hiding a lot, wants to find these details out more than anyone.

"There are things that I know that no one else does," she continued to say. "And I hope that by speaking out I can help the investigation in some way."

The investigation is ongoing, and it is unclear if Gordon is the reason Brown was in the bathtub that day, but Reid does recall not speaking to her much that week and worrying about her.

"I felt she was in danger. I didn't know what to do," she revealed. "She had sworn me to secrecy; she didn't want anyone to know the truth. All I wanted to do was help her and yet I couldn't betray her. It didn't matter what I said to her, she wouldn't listen."

The week of the incident, she remembers Brown texting her from two different phone numbers. She texted her the day before and everything was fine, but when she didn't hear back from her the next day, she had a feeling something was wrong.

"When I heard the news on Saturday I just screamed," she said. "I couldn't believe it."

Brown remains in hospice care with her family by her side and we will continue to post updates on her health and the investigation.
