The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly interested in Chicago Bulls small forward free agent Mike Dunleavy, ESPN reports.

ESPN sources suggest that LeBron James is a strong Dunleavy supporter and that the Cavs will pursue him once free agency opens at 12:01 a.m. ET on Wednesday. Free agents and teams can negotiate deals and even strike verbal agreements. But official contracts cannot be signed until July 9.

Cleveland has several of its own players hitting the open market. Notably, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova will all be free agents. James also opted out of his contract but is expected to immediately re-sign with the Cavs. Cleveland is reportedly seeking additions in the backcourt and on the wing.

Dunleavy, despite turning 35, could add some much needed shooting at the position. He averaged 44 percent of 3-point range this past season. However, ESPN reports that Dunleavy and fellow Bulls restricted free agent Jimmy Butler, are expected to remain in Chicago.
