’50 Shades of Grey’ Movie Cast: Male Model Tweets About Auditioning for Christian Grey Role as Casting Rumors for Kinky Billionaire, Anastasia Steele Heat Up (SLIDESHOW)

Are E.L. James and Universal Pictures close to casting Christian Grey? Twitter went CRAZY earlier when a sexy male model tweeted that he had auditioned for the role of Christian Grey. According to Gather.com, male model Bryce Thompson is going after the role of the kinky billionaire.  One of his Twitter followers asked him if he was going to be cast in the movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" as the lead character and he responded: "Just at audition phases. Working on it."

His tweet clearly means that he didn't get the part yet but fans of his were ecstatic to find out he has at least reportedly auditioned for the lead role. Not much is known about Thompson. He describes himself on his Twitter page as a "South African model, living in New York. Passionate photographer and an avid paintballer."

Physically Thompson could very well pull off the part of Christian Grey. He's 6'3, has green eyes, brown hair, a nicely toned body and he's hot. He doesn't have any acting experience which, as previously reported, could be a good thing. None of "Team 50" mentioned anything about the latest rumors but it is known that they are all back in Los Angeles working on, what fans are assuming, is the cast for the movie.

Another name mentioned as a front-runner to play the lead male role is Charlie Hunnam. According to Twitchfilm.com, the "Pacific Rim" actor has emerged a favorite of the producers to play the "handsome, yet tormented billionaire."

Hunnam joins Garrett Hedlund, Ian Somerhalder, Henry Cavill and Matt Bomer as the top contenders for the role. Both Hedlund and Somerhalder are expected not to star in the novie.
