Chris Farley died of a drug overdose in 1997 at the age of 33. He was considered one of the greatest comedians of his generation, if not all time. This summer, a documentary dedicated to his memory, "I Am Chris Farley," will come out in theatres and its first trailer was released earlier today, showcasing the comedian's extraordinary life.

The documentary will highlight Farley's incredible life from his early years in Wisconsin, to his improv days at Second City, to his time at "Saturday Night Live" and his movie career. The film will mix home videos and clips from "SNL" with new interviews from his famous friends and costars.

The film includes interviews from Lorne Michaels, Adam Sandler, David Spade, Christina Applegate, Bob Odenkirk, Bob Saget, Molly Shannon, Dan Aykroyd and Mike Meyers. Farley's peers applaud his natural comedic ability, his kindness and his inner demons that led to his tragic death.

"I Am Chris Farley" will hit theatres July 31 and will be available for video-on-demand starting Aug. 11. The documentary was directed by Brent Hodge and Derik Murry and was acquired by Virgil Films, according to Variety.
