After last week's injury scare, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady admitted owner Robert Kraft asked him to wear his knee brace at practice, NFL.com reports.

Patriot fans held their breaths when Brady fell during practice last Wednesday and clutched his knee.  He eventually left the practice to be examined by the team's training staff.  Brady was ultimately OK - he went 11-of-12 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown against the Buccaneers two days later.  Still, the incident was enough to make Kraft cautious about his franchise player.

"I had (the brace on) today.  Everyone was very pleased," Brady told the team website on Monday, via NFL.com.  "Kraft felt pretty strongly about me wearing it.  He said, 'What's the problem?'  I said, 'I'll wear it, I'll wear it.'"

The incident at practice, which occured when Patriots tackle Nate Solder fell into Brady's knee, was even scarier because it happened to Brady's left knee - the knee he tore his ACL in during the 2008 season.

"It's a little scary when you go down, but that's the sport," Brady added.  "I'm certainly not the first or the last to have it happen.  I'm fortunate that it wasn't very bad.  ... After what happened to me in 2008, I love coming out to practice and playing.  Nothing is as exciting as that for me."

Fortunately, Brady is healthy.

If Brady were to ever miss an extended amount of time because of injury, Patriot fans could face a situation no one ever believed could happen: a quarterback controversy involving Tim Tebow.
