"Gotham" has cast Jessica Lucas to fill the role Tabitha Galavan a.k.a. Tigress when the Fox series returns for its second season, according to TVLine.

The DC villain Tigress is the sister of billionaire industrialist Theo Galavan (James Frain), who on the surface seems like a generous philanthropist but is really covering up a centuries-old vendetta that involves destroying the city of Gotham. Tabitha works as the lead enforcer for her brother, cracking her bullwhip and finding sensual pleasure in the violent mayhem she stirs up.

Lucas last starred on Fox's "Broadchurch" adaptation, "Gracepoint," which aired last season.

The brother-sister duo will replace Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith), who ruled Gotham's underground in the first season, as the big baddies. Their introduction will lead to the creation of new villains and the destruction of old villains, according to Deadline.

"Gotham" also promoted Chris Chalk, Nicholas D'Agosto and Morena Baccarin to series regulars in season 2. Chalk plays Wayne Enterprises junior executive Lucius Fox, who eventually becomes president and CEO and will help Bruce Wayne become Batman. D'Agosto will return as ADA Harvey Dent and Baccarin will continue as Det. Jim Gordon's (Ben McKenzie) love interest, Dr. Leslie Thompkins.

"Gotham" will premiere its second season on Monday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
