Reunited for the sake of work. Emma Roberts and Evan Peters may be reuniting on the upcoming "American Horror Story: Hotel."

"AHS" mastermind Ryan Murphy told reporters that the real-life exes, who recently ended their engagement after three years of dating, will both appear on season five of the horror drama series—and may also share screen time.

"Emma is doing an arc on 'American Horror Story' at the end once [the upcoming series] 'Scream Queens' is done, but we haven't figured it out totally yet," Murphy, the creator of both shows, told E! News. "She loves the show and wanted to keep being a part of it, so she'll probably do two episodes? Not sure. Or maybe she'll be too exhausted from 'Scream Queens'... what with all that running from the killer!"

"She has a great thing with Evan Peters at the end," added Murphy, according to Zap2It. "Emma's going to do a fun thing at the end with Evan. That's all I can say."

Let's hope that the two can remain professional while on set.

Earlier this month, Just Jared confirmed that Roberts, 24, and Peters, 28—who co-starred in seasons three and four of "American Horror Story"—ended their engagement. "Their three years together just ran its course," said a source. "They have so many great memories together but couldn't make it work in the end. The breakup was amicable—there was no drama whatsoever. Emma and Evan are even still friends!"

"American Horror Story: Hotel" will premiere in October on FX.

"Scream Queens" will debut on Fox Sept. 22.
