Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak thinks we're all probably going to become robot's pets some day.

Speaking at a recent technology conference, Wozniak revised his previous thoughts about our inevitable subservience to artificially intelligent beings. The thought of them being in charge of everything scared him at first, but now he thinks it's comforting, according The Guardian.

Fast forward a few hundred years to when robots are in charge. At that time, humans will probably be treated in a similar fashion to dogs, Wozniak said during the event at the Freescale Technology Forum in Austin, Texas, The Independent reported.

"They're going to be smarter than us and if they're smarter than us then they'll realize they need us." He said.

Wozniak isn't the only one looking at the future interactions between robots and humanity, according to Fortune, Some of the greatest minds of science, such as Neil deGrasse Tyson, Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Steven Hawking have examined the dangers of AI.

For Wozniak, it will be "hundreds of years" before AI is capable of taking over. However, at that point, they won't be a threat to our existence.

"They'll be so smart that they'll know they have to keep nature, and humans are part of nature," he said. "I got over my fear that we'd be replaced by computers. They're going to help us. We're at least the gods originally."
