Jessica Barth is returning in the "Ted" sequel as the teddy bear's main love interest.

In Seth MacFarlane's newest movie, "Ted 2," Barth is back as main character Ted's wife, Tami-Lynn. Since Ted is a teddy bear voiced by MacFarlane, Barth has opened up to WGN radio's Steve Cohcran about the difficulties of acting with a character that's technically not even there.

"I've done so much training in my life and it's just ironic that my big break comes with acting in an R-rated raunchy comedy opposite of a teddy bear," she said and laughed.

When asked exactly "what she's acting to" during these scenes and how it exactly works, Barth revealed that it's much harder than people probably think. They get to rehearse with the stuffed animal, but once filming begins, they take the bear away, leaving you with nothing.

"So you really, really have to do your work," she continued. "And to make that believable is really challenging because there's nothing there, there's nothing to react off of so you really have to do your character work, you have to build a relationship. And I just tried to build a relationship as strongly as I could so I was triggered off of hearing just Seth's voice because I didn't have anything to look at."

In the movie, Ted wants to prove that he's more than just a teddy bear and wants to have a baby with Barth. With this came some emotional, awkward and tough-to-act love scenes. She really "had to work her ass off" to make these scenes believable.

When asked about a particular scene in the movie that people are describing as a "love scene," Cochran said that there may have never been a greater challenge on film than this.

"All the scenes where I have to like kiss him or have a love scene with him, all of these are-there not so much challengeing as they are awkward," she replies. "It has it's own little choreography that you have to put your hand here, and your mouth here, and your leg here, and more, you know, move your leg faster. It's just so like so awkwardly choreographed, but it comes out and it looks so real that I'm blown away."

The reason she's able to do this and make it happen, though, is all because of MacFarlane.

"I tend to trust Seth creatively with anything," she told Too Fab. "So I know going into it, just like anybody knows going into a Seth MacFarlane film, you know it's going to be random humor, pushing the envelope. You know that boundaries are going to be crossed, that lines are going to be crossed. But I'll do anything that he wants me to do as an actor!"
