Rapper Young Ready was killed in a shooting Tuesday night in Bogalusa, La. The rapper, whose real name is Shannen Hudson, was one of two victims of the shooting. The other victim was 28-year-old Jare Stevenson, according to local NBC affiliate, KPLC.

The shooting of the 31-year-old Baton Rouge rapper occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on the north side of Bogalusa, according to E! News. Young Ready was the owner and operator of his own record label, Bow Entertainment, according to hip-hop magazine XXL.

The shooting is still under investigation; there have been no suspects identified. KPLC reports that the Washington Parish Coroner's Office said one victim died from a single gunshot wound and the second died of multiple gunshot wounds. The rapper would have turned 32 on July 8.

"Ready's music was the voice of the streets of Louisiana and other areas," said Kaleel Cain, social networking promoter for Young Ready. "He will be truly missed."
