A normal house cat is on its way to become the most fearless and bravest cat known to man after having a throw down with a dangerous mountain lion.

The mountain lion was bigger and more ferocious than its smaller feline counterpart, but that did not stop the Himalayan-bred cat from facing it head on.

The video was taken by American comedian and prankster Tom Mabe, who owns a YouTube channel called MabeInAmerica, which consists of videos of pranks made by the star, who is based in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mabe certainly lived up to his name as a prankster, even going as far as joking to his wife that their children were at the back when she asked where they were, even in this harrowing situation, according to Uproxx.

'Ssh, you're going to scare the cat away,' Mabe told his wife Melanie, before eventually revealing that the children were still in bed.

'That is not funny,' Melanie retorted. The mountain lion quickly lost interest and eventually left the property, according to the Daily Mail.
