Yahoo has revamped its Weather app for Android devices with more options that include pictures from Flickr based on current weather, 10-day forecast, new lock screen widget and lot more.

Yahoo released a new version of its Weather app for Android users with an all-new design and more information on up to 10 days' weather forecast at your fingertips. The new app has an overhauled look with photos from Flickr, the popular photo sharing site acquired by Yahoo, based on the current weather and the time of the day so you can match your phone screen with the weather outside.

The updated app is a long leap from its older version as it displays weather forecast for up to 10-days in addition to 24-hour weather predictions. The older version of the Weather app displayed 4-day forecast and current temperature along with day's high and lows.

"Checking the weather should be beautiful, intuitive and personalized, no matter where you are or what device you're using," Yahoo's director of mobile products, Marco Wirasinghe, wrote in a Tumblr post, Wednesday. "That's why we're excited to share that today, we're releasing a brand new Yahoo! Weather Android app for users worldwide. We're hopeful you'll love seeing the weather with a new design and lots of data enhancements."

The Yahoo! Weather, which is available for download on Google Play Store for free, has got a 4.4 star rating out of total 5. The app also gives detailed weather information when users swipe screens vertically. It includes "chance of precipitation, wind and pressure, moon phases, UV patterns, sunrise and sunset times and an interactive map," Wirasinghe wrote.

In addition, the new lock screen widget allows users to quickly check the current weather condition without unlocking the screen.

The latest version follows a series of updates that Yahoo has undergone since CEO Marissa Mayer has taken control of the company. The California-based internet company is also re-designing its logo, which will be unveiled September 4.
