Authorities arrested a 21-year-old man at his home in Fort Lee, N.J. on Wednesday for giving "material support" to the Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS).

Federal prosecutors charged the suspect, Samuel Rahamin Topaz, for his attempts in aiding ISIS militants and conniving with three other Americans on Thursday at a court in New Jersey, where he made an appearance.

One of the Americans that Topaz had been allegedly conniving with, authorities say, is Munther Omar Saleh, who was arrested earlier this week. Authorities claim that Saleh was the man behind the plot to create and detonate a bomb in New York City, according to CNN.

Meanwhile, a criminal report reveals that a concerned friend of Topaz had tipped off the Federal Bureau, claiming that Topaz was becoming more radical and he was afraid that he would "do something stupid."

The concerned friend then revealed that he took Topaz's passport in an attempt to stop him from flying over the Middle East.

It is alleged that Topaz was planning to go to the Middle East and fight with ISIS militants with the promise of receiving $7,000 and four wives.

If proven guilty, Topaz could spend 15 years in prison and be charged with a fine of $250,000, Fox News Insider reported.
