Actress Taraji P. Henson, the star of Fox's drama series "Empire," has been hospitalized after a bad case of food poisoning.

Henson posted an Instagram photo of her left arm with an IV drip taped to it and a source told TMZ that she's been having trouble keeping food and liquids down since returning from Europe, TMZ reported

"Empire" is hugely successful due in part to Henson's feisty character Cookie Lyon, and Henson has since become one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood, the New York Daily News reported. She was in Monaco earlier this week promoting the hit TV show at the 2015 Monte Carlo TV festival.

But like her character, Henson is a tough cookie and she took to social media to let fans know she's okay.

"God has a way of saying 'you're doing too much!' 'SAT DOWN SOMEWHERE'. I'm listening Father!!! I am taking several seats!!! Don't worry y'all I'm a tough cookie! HA! I will be just fine. My momma and best friends are flying in to check on me. I AM FINE!!!!!!! Just need to SAT ALL THE WAY DOWN for a bit," she wrote in the caption, punctuating it with hashtag #listentoyourbody and multiple "kissy lips" emojis.

Fans are alreading commenting on the photo with overwhelming messages of support, MSN's Gossip Cop reported.
