A man was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors in Johnstown, Pa., for dressing like a ninja and running through a neighborhood lurking near houses and hiding in bushes, according to WJAC-TV.

Todd Kapcsos was arrested by police and charged with loitering, prowling at night and disorderly conduct. People thought that Kapcsos appeared to be getting ready to rob one of the houses so the cops were called, according to WJAC-TV.

Kapcsos claims that he wasn't trying to cause any trouble and that he was trying to prevent crime by aiding the police as a ninja. Kapcsos says that he was trying to fight crime, according to WJAC-TV.

"There's not enough police officers," Kapcsos said. "I mean there's not enough and the community should do something rather than sit back."

Chis Trevino, a resident in the Moxham neighborhood, called the police because she thought that Kapcsos was breaking the law.

"It looked like he was trying to break into homes, not like he was trying to save the world," Trevino told WJAC-TV. "He was running like a ninja, not like a normal person jogging. He was going back and forth, creeping."

Kapcsos was dressed in all black when police arrested him; a black hoodie, black pants, long black shirt, black gloves, a black balaclava and he was armed with a black baseball bat. Kapcsos says that he only wanted to help the police and have some fun, according to WJAC-TV.

"I dressed up in all black, snuck around, went through bushes," Kapcsos said. "I was practicing some ninja techniques - curling up like a ball, looking like a rock, just hiding in the shadows."

Despite his good intentions the Johnstown Police do not condone the actions of the wannabe superhero, according to WJAC-TV.

"He ninja ran across the alley, ninja ran down the alley and he ran into the arms of the police officers," Trevino said.
