Terrence Howard continues his great year with a new baby.

Howard and his wife Miranda welcomed their first child in May and named their son Qirin Love Howard, according to Access Hollywood. The baby boy is the fourth child for the "Empire" star and his name comes from the mythic Chinese creature, the qilin, which represents prosperity or serenity.

"He's beautiful and strong and a whirlwind and my wife is so happy," Howard told Access Hollywood.

The 46-year-old actor and his wife have split the duties for taking care of their baby between the days and nights. Howard will take the overnight shift.

"She has to be up with him all throughout the day," he said and then joked, "I wasn't born with boobs, I've started growing some recently."

The Oscar nominee added, "She has the boobage and nurses him during the day. So, I pull night duty, so that she can sleep and I keep him with me and will take some of the pre-pumped, you know, breast cheese, whatever you call it."

Howard shares three older children - Aubrey, 21, Hunter, 19, and Heaven, 17 - with his first wife, Lisa McCommes.

He will return as the music mogul, Lucious Lyon, in the second season of "Empire," premiering on Sept. 23.
