Kim Kardashian on NPR sounds like a Saturday Night Live sketch, but it actually happened on Sunday morning.

Kardashian agreed to come on the show, "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me," to promote her new book of selfies, "Selfish," which came as a complete shock to the hosts.

"So from time to time, we have someone on the show that we can't believe agreed to be on the show," host Mike Pesca said to introduce the segment.

To start, the 34-year-old reality star denied reports that she and husband Kanye West were expecting a boy as well as other rumors claiming she was pregnant with twins or had a surrogate carrying her child.

Kardashian also shut down the idea of giving her second child a directional moniker like her daughter, North West.

"Everyone keeps on saying South, and I think it's so stupid," she said. "Stupidest thing ever and just ridiculous.

Kardashian shared more details about the extravagant birthday gift - renting out the Staples Center - she gave to Kanye earlier this month. The rapper has been a little jealous of his 2-year-old daughter always receiving gifts so he kept asking for a basketball court installed in their house.

"It's the only thing he requested in the house. You can buy, you know, whatever home you want. We'll move anywhere, whatever city, but all I want is a basketball court. And so I've been ignoring his request for like two years," she said.

The court didn't go inside the house. Instead, Kardashian had one built outside in the backyard. Unfortunately, it wasn't ready for his birthday, so she did the next best thing.

"So I thought well, I have to do something basketball oriented," she said. "Because it's so normal, I get it - rented out the entire Staples Center to play a game of basketball with him and just his best guy friends. And then I invited a couple NBA players and it was so much fun."

Before she left, the hosts gave Kardashian a short quiz on the other famous Kim in the world - North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. She was game and did her best to make Kelly Baker of Illinois a winner. She only answered one question correctly, but the show awarded her two out of three and everyone went home happy.
