Beauty queen Emily Kachote was dethroned as Miss World Zimbabwe on Wednesday after her naked pictures surfaced on social media.

"The Miss Zimbabwe executive board would like to inform the nation that it has resolved to dethrone Miss Emily Kachote as Miss World Zimbabwe 2015," the Miss Zimbabwe executive board said in a statement, according to The Zimbabwe Daily"Early this month one of the local tabloids carried a story, which alleged that Miss Emily Kachote's nude photos had appeared on a WhatsApp group."

Twenty-five-year-old Kachote, a psychology graduate, is the second Miss Zimbabwe to be stripped of her title, as her predecessor, Thabiso Phiri, was also dethroned over nude pictures. Kachote was crowned Miss World Zimbabwe in April.

The organizers said Kachote violated the rules of the pageant that prohibit beauty queens from posing for nude photos, Nehanda Radio reported

"Winners of the Miss Word Zimbabwe beauty pageant, whether a title holder or a runner-up must not have posed nude professionally or socially in all forms of media," the board said. "Being in a relationship, sexual advances towards anyone and any behaviour categorised as immoral by the Miss Zimbabwe Trust is grounds for instant disqualification and dethronement."

The board added that it dethroned Kachote after its inquiry proved that she posed nude and she confessed.

"We had some drinks and I had no control over everything that happened that night. I no longer have anything to do with the guy", Kachote said while referring to date with her ex-lover who circulated her naked pictures on social media, according to Pulse.

First Princess Miss Annie Grace Mutambu, who will be next Miss Zimbabwe, will represent the country at Miss World 2015, which is scheduled to take place in Sanya, China on December 19, according to Nehanda Radio.

However, Kachote said she would continue modelling despite the lose of her crown, Newsday reported

"If you may give me some time from all this hullaballoo, I just need a break," she said.
