The studio is also said to have hired Gary Janetti and Robert Zemeckis as executive producers for the proposed series. A reboot of "The Jetsons" could make its way to the TV screens as Warner Bros. is said to be interested in a live-action TV series based on the 60s animation show, TVLine claimed. The studio wants to revive the popular show and it has also roped in Gary Janetti and Robert Zemeckis as executive producers for the project. Sources say that work will soon begin on the proposed TV series and aside from Janetti and Zemeckis, Jack Rapke is also on board as executive producer and Nickleby Inc. and Compari Entertainment would be producing the series as well. Notably, "The Jetsons" is an animated sitcom that was produced by Hanna Barbera and ran from Sep 1962 to March 1963. It revolved around a family living in the futuristic world in a town called Orbit City. The animated series carried family dynamics similar to "The Simpsons" and was set in the year 2062 with modern gadgets like robotic servants, flying cars, flat screen and the like inhabiting the world. In the meantime, the live-action TV series reboot of "The Jetsons" is in addition to the animated film series Warner Bros. is currently working on, ScreenRant has learned. The film project has been operational for some time and recently Conrad Vernon joined it as director. So, it is natural for fans to speculate about some common threads tying the two. However, it does not seem like they will have a link as they appear to be different. Still, it is fabulous news for fans as the "The Jetsons" reboot will bring back the nostalgia with a modern flavor.
