North Korea Media Calls Obama 'Crossbreed,' South Korean President 'Vile Prostitute'

The state-run media in North Korea is under fire for racist and sexist comments made about U.S. President Barack Obama and South Korean President Park Geun-hye, CNN reported.

In a May 2 piece titled "Divine punishment to the world's one and only delinquent Obama," the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) refers to Obama as a monkey.

"You can also tell this by his appearance and behavior, and while it may be because he is a crossbreed, one cannot help thinking the more one sees him that he has escaped from a monkey's body," the article said.

"It would be perfect for Obama to live with a group of monkeys in the world's largest African natural zoo and lick the bread crumbs thrown by spectators."

Though the state-run outlet is not new to outrageous attacks on other world leaders, the recent post prompted the White House's National Security Council to call them out for their offensive words.

"While the North Korean Government-controlled media are distinguished by their histrionics, these comments are particularly ugly and disrespectful," US National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said.

Aside from racism, the North Korea media recently called South Korean President Park Geun-hye an "indecent philistine and vile prostitute serving the U.S." and accused her of responsibility for the Sewol ferry accident.

The outlet also suggested she was mentally ill.

According to a KCNA Watch website, both Obama and Park have been mentioned frequently in the media over the past few months.
