Paying for sex is to 'torture a woman', says Pope Francis
Pope Francis used strong words to condemn men who pay for sex with prostitutes during a meeting in Vatican City on Monday (Mar. 19). He asked forgiveness from women for Catholic men who frequent prostitutes, saying it was a crime that constitutes "not love but torture". Francis said that in Italy, it was likely that some 90 percent of male clients of prostitutes were baptized Catholics.
