By nearly all accounts, Washington Redskins rookie wide receiver Jamison Crowder has looked every part of the electrifying playmaker Skins GM Scot McLoughan thought he'd be when he selected him in the fourth-round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Crowder, who starred at Duke prior to entering the NFL, wasn't just a top athlete in college, he was also considered one of the top character guys at his position in the draft.

That assessment and Crowder's NFL future are now being called into question though, as a potentially damning scenario involving Crowder has emerged recently.

First, a post appeared on the website reddit alleging that Crowder had been involved in a domestic violence dispute with his ex-girlfriend.

Crowder's former girlfriend supposedly hacked into his Instagram account and posted pictures of herself with bruises and an accompanying message alluding to the fact that Crowder was the one who had given them to her. The twitter user @TJMartinez21 posted a photo they claim was screenshotted from Crowder's account before being taken down.

See it for yourself below.

While that type of unverified evidence would usually mean little, there is at least enough of a story here to warrant a response from the Redskins.

"The Washington Redskins are aware of an off-field situation involving Jamison Crowder. We have been in touch with the NFL office and will continue to follow proper League protocol and assist them in any way we can to gather all of the facts. We will not be making any further comment at this time," the team said in a statement, via Alex Marvez of FOX Sports.

The league has also responded, via Marvez.

"The team has been in touch with our office and we are looking into the matter."
