"Silent Hills," a video game believed to be canceled due to restructuring at game developer Konami Productions, is now rumoured to be resurrected as an Xbox One exclusive.

As an anonymous source shares in the YouTube channel "The Know," Microsoft is set to pay billions of dollars to Konami to claim the video game, targeting for the game to be its exclusive in time for the E3 2015 Press Conference that is in less than three weeks.

The same source is known for announcing the release of the cheaper Xbox One model ahead of Microsoft.

The game is already 80 percent complete, the source added, even when during cancellation, developers left the impression that the game is nowhere near completion, Game Revolution reported.

Konami, which worked with film director Guillermo del Toro on the game, pulled the PT demo for "Silent Hills" from the PlayStation Store "as a show of good faith to Microsoft," said the source, Rooster Teeth , according to IGN.

If the rumor proves to be true, the game will probably be released in March 2016.

"Silent Hills" was conceived as an attempt by Konami to revitalize its flagship "Silent Hill" horror franchise, which had fallen into mediocrity, Comic Book reported.

Microsoft has made no comments regarding the rumor, and Konami has remained silent as well.
