Third-seeded Bangalore earned a spot in the qualifier following its 71-run win against Rajasthan in Wednesday's Eliminator match. Man of the Match winner AB de Villiers led with 66 runs on 38-ball, and teammate Mandeep Singh chipped in with 54 runs on 34-ball (not out).

"I didn't perform that well in the last couple of innings. So, pretty hard on myself, happy that I got few runs today," de Villiers said after the win, according to CricBuzz.com. "I honestly don't know how we got to 180 when I was walking back after I got out. I was communicating with the boys and was looking at 140. The way Mandeep Singh played today, it is a man of the match performance, this trophy is going to him."

First-seeded Chennai, meanwhile, has a chance at redemption on Friday after losing the first qualifier on Tuesday by 25 runs against Mumbai. The Super must win on Friday for a spot in the final, where Mumbai awaits.
