Samsung has sent out invitations to the press people to come out and see "the next Galaxy" unveiled in Berlin on September 4. The invitation came by e-mail and did not give any specifics as to which Galaxy device would be unveiled, however, the likely candidate is the new Galaxy Note III.

The event is called "Samsung Unpacked," a title the company has used in the past for major unveilings like this.

Samsung used the IFA conference last year to showcase the Galaxy Note II for the first time ever. The September 4 event falls just short of IFA Berlin this year, which begins on September 6. TechCrunch points out that it is possible for Samsung to hold an independent press conference to unveil the next-generation Galaxy Note while leveraging the inordinate amount of tech press surrounding Berlin in the coming weeks.

Another clue that the invitation is talking about the Galaxy Note III is the way it is hand drawn. The invite, seen above, looks to be a hand sketched and hand written piece of artwork. This is indicative of the Galaxy Note's standout feature, the Wacom-style S-Pen stylus. The pen allows users of the large-sized screen to draw, write and edit with the stylus in order to give users the best and most accurate editing experience possible on the Note's many editing functions, specifically photo editing.

Several rumors are still up in the air about the Galaxy Note III. Some have said it will sport up to a 6.3-inch screen, others have said there will be four different variants of the device, each with different screen sizes. There has also been talk og flexible displays and metal chassis, but all of that is still considered rumor. The only thing that is actually syncing up across the rumor mill is the date of the device's unveiling, September 4.
