The past 24 hours have been extremely eventful for the 25-year-old "Shake it Off" singer. After walking away with eight of her fourteen nominations at last night's Billboard Music Awards, as well as releasing the star-studded, and extremely hyped, music video for her newest hit, "Bad Blood," Swift has just been named Maxim's hottest.

Each year, Maxim releases its Hot 100 List, and Swift has finally earned her spot at the top. Swift has proven that she deserves to be up there with previous number one stars such as Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Jessica Simpson.

When asked how it feels to be at the top, Swift couldn't imagine 2015 being a better year.

"It's really nice and such an incredible compliment," Swift told Maxim. "This year has been my favorite year of my life so far. I got to make an album exactly the way I wanted to make it. I got to put it out exactly the way that I dreamed of putting it out. Every one of these kinds of whims and ideas came to fruition. The videos-I'm proud of those, I'm proud of the tour, I'm proud of the way this has all happened. In the midst of all that, this is really nice. It really feels like a wonderful celebration of my favorite year."

Fashionista reported that this is Swift's first time being featured on the cover of a men's magazine.

As of recently, Maxim has a new female editor-in-chief, Kate Lanphear, and her goal to rebrand the magazine has everything to do with this choice.

Swift isn't typically seen in the same sexualized way Maxim's cover actresses and singers typically are, and that's exactly why Lanphear wanted her on the cover. She had plans to upgrade the magazine in many ways, and this is one of the first steps in her new take on a version of the magazine's previous, and legendary, list of attractive women.

Lanphear admitted that, "Taylor was chosen based on her accomplishments and I was determined to have someone whose talent really transcended their beauty."

In the interview, Swift went on to talk about her 1989 World Tour, the friends she's made along the way and her thoughts on feminism.
