As Jodi Arias sits in a prison cell awaiting her sentencing retrial outside sources are rushing to tell the story of Arias and the 2008 murder of her former boyfriend Travis Alexander. A book written by one of the commentators who covered the trial and a second made for TV movie are in production, according to USA Today.

"Exposed: The Secret Life of Jodi Arias" by Jane Velez-Mitchell will be released by publisher William Morrow on Aug. 20. Velez-Mitchell covered the case extensively for HLN.

"I wanted to write this book to get to the heart of how this intense sexual relationship turned so toxic and why Jodi Arias became murderously obsessed with the object of her desire, Travis Alexander," Velez-Mitchell told USA Today. "After reading 'Exposed' readers will understand that Jodi tried to make Travis responsible for her own happiness, when that failed, he became her obsession, and if she couldn't have him, no one could."

Velez-Mitchell was recently in the news because a man who claimed that he was in love with Arias made death threats against Velez-Mitchell and her fellow HLN commentator Nancy Grace. David Lee Simpson allegedly posted that he wanted to tie the two women to a "tree naked and leave them to suffer all night" before he "slit their throats," according to the Huffington Post.

A TV movie based on the life of Arias is also in the process of being made, according to HollywoodLife.com. It will be the second time Arias' life story is turned into a TV drama. Lifetime released "Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret" shortly after the trial had concluded. "Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret" was called "unabashed exploitation" by Variety and if the report from HollywoodLife this second movie won't be any different.

The role of Arias is being described as a "highly sexual" role that will need the actor to be comfortable "depicting physically violent scenes." HollywoodLife reports that the actress playing Arias will "need to be extremely comfortable being depicted in a very kinky, highly sexual role. She's going to be having all kinds of sex on screen."

It is still not known what station will broadcast the upcoming film or when it is scheduled to be released.
