It's no secret that the Green Bay Packers are looking to add some cornerback help through the upcoming NFL Draft. After all, the team did lose Tramon Williams and Davon House in free agency. If Green Bay wants to maintain its top 10 pass defense ranking from last year, general manager Ted Thompson will have to find an immediate contributor.

But which player is up to the challenge? This question was posed to ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky in his weekly mailbag.

"Youre talking about the group that includes Kevin Johnson, Byron Jones, Marcus Peters and Jalen Collins, I presume," Demovsky answered. "Peters, given his off-the-field issues, is a wild card. No way to know what Thompson thinks of that. It sounds like some teams aren't concerned yet others have either downgraded him or taken him off their board completely. A guy like Collins, at 6-foot-1, would seem like an intriguing prospect. Dom Capers loves to play press-man coverage in his scheme and having a big corner to match with receivers would be nice. There's a good chance Johnson and Jones will be gone before the Packers pick at No. 30. In fact, there's a chance all of them could be off the board."

Demovsky is right, there's a good chance all of the top prospects could be off the board. In today's passing league, a handful of teams will always have cornerback needs. This year, the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots are all rumored to be in the hunt for secondary help. Will some of those teams let a few of the top rated corners slip by them? We'll have to wait to find out.

The NFL Draft kicks off on April 30.
