The English-language trailer for the film adaptation of the classic children's book "The Little Prince" has been unveiled, and it is just as charming as you would expect.

Variety was one of the first news outlets to get their hands on the international trailer, which shows both 3-D and stop-motion animation. Helmed by Mark Osborne, who previously did "Kung Fu Panda," the story of "The Little Prince" is based on the beloved book written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in 1943, with an expanded plot for the movie-viewing audience.

A young girl is being guided by her mother into the world of adults. In moving to a new place, she comes across a rather eccentric neighbor, an aviator, who shows her all the infinite possibilities the world offers. What follows is the unfolding of the tale from the original story, where a pilot crashes his plane in the Sahara desert, and eventually meets the Little Prince. The prince is actually from another world, and his many tales offer some life lessons.

Since its release, the book has sold over 140 million copies all over the world, and 80 million copies of the audio book have also made it a huge hit across generations, according to the Antoine de Saint-Exupery Foundation.

"The Little Prince" is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and it boasts a bevy of A-list actors providing the voices to the characters, namely James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, Paul Rudd, Benecio del Toro, Paul Giamatti, Ricky Gervais, Albert Brooks and Bud Cort. Riley Osborne provides the voice for the Little Prince, while Mackenzie Foy voices the young girl.

For its commercial run, the movie will officially premiere this July 29 in France, with a U.S. theater run following shortly.
