Ariana Grande and Big Sean have called it quits.

The couple confirmed their split to Us Weekly after eight months of dating.

"They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends," their reps said in a joint statement to Us Weekly. "We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."

Grande and Big Sean played coy on their relationship at first. They finally confirmed their couple status in October 2014 and have performed on stage together multiple times as well as walked the red carpet together at the 2015 Grammys.

Conflicting touring schedules would have kept them apart for much of the next year, so the "Break Free" singer and "Blessings" rapper decided to end things "quietly and amicably," a source told Us. The actual break up came a few weeks ago.

Big Sean's tweet on April 4 seems to point toward their split earlier in the month.
