Now that the royal baby boy has been born, there will probably be hundreds-of-thousands (if not millions) of people attempting to provide advice on how the child should be raise and what Prince William and Duchess Kate should do.

It seems even Major League All-Stars are not above giving their two cents. Some of the game’s most talented players recently appeared in the MLB Fan Cave to hand out some words of wisdom.

“Take a lot of pictures because they grow real fast,” said St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Allen Craig (father of one).

Detroit Tigers right fielder Torii Hunter (father of three) went into a bit more detail.

“Definitely go get the diapers [and] learn the formulas,” said Hunter. “Play classical music because it helps stimulate the mind.”

What happens if the royal baby starts crying? Just ask triple-crown winner Miguel Cabrera (father of one), he has a simple solution.

“If the kid cries, let [him] cry,” said the Detroit Tigers third baseman with a chuckle. “Don’t worry.”

Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz had an idea about which sport the baby should play.

“I know you’re gonna try to teach him how to play soccer,” predicted Ortiz (father of three). “But I think having a baseball player in the royal family will be perfect.”

Cincinnati Reds third baseman Brandon Phillips (father of two) gave a warning for at least one of the things the royal parents can expect.

“To the royal family I just want to say, be prepared—to get peed on,” said Phillips as he laughed.

Colorado Rockies right fielder Michael Cuddyer said parenting defintely needs one thing.

“Just love your kids man, that’s the best advice I can give anybody,” said the father of three. “If you love your kids, everything else will turn out fine.”
